Beijing International Ballet and Choreography Competition

The ‘5th International Ballet and Choreography Competition’ was held at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, China on 13 – 19 July, 2019.
Held every two years, Harlequin has supported the competition since it began in 2011.
Performing on Harlequin Liberty and Harlequin Cascade sprung and vinyl floors, the winners were selected from a highly competitive field of contestants.
Harlequin’s Annie Shek presented the Harlequin sponsored awards to finalists Fan Liya and Hu Haoyuan at the closing ceremony.
The final event included the award presentation, followed by performances by the winners and a glittering gala performance.
Finalists Wang Zeyu and Xu Wensheng have also been pre-selected by Kathryn Bradney, executive and artistic director of the Prix de Lausanne and invited to participate in Montreux, Switzerland in February 2020.
