A little bit of politics on Harlequin's Hi-Shine
Hosted by Jeremy Paxman, David Mitchell and Richard Osman, the Alternative Election Night went live on Channel 4 as the election results came on 8th June, with Harlequin’s Hi-Shine Black, White and Grey covering the studio floor.
Complimenting the colour palette of the floors, the studio set was given a purple, orange and pink backdrop and was the work of Scott Fleary Productions, who specialise in theatre and stage, live events and installations as well as television.
The satirical show gave hours of entertainment with a host of special guests from the world of British politics alongside the nation’s favourite comedians. The “all-night feast of comedy” included Paxman interviews, analysis of the evening’s results as they unravelled, a special edition of 8 out of 10 Cats, finishing with an election special of Gogglebox.
