To celebrate World Ballet Day 2020 Harlequin launches a new improved online shop and a fabulous new ballet barre for home practice
29th October 2020
This year World Ballet Day will be the biggest celebration of dance with 40 dance companies from across the globe participating in the live-streamed event. Viewers will have a unique opportunity to see some of the world’s most prestigious dance companies as they rehearse in their studios and take us behind the scenes.
The Australian Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet and The Royal Ballet are the host companies and they are joined by other dance companies including Singapore Dance, Joburg Ballet, Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre and Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico. All rehearsals will be live streamed via their Facebook and YouTube pages so make sure you tune in to see this yearly online event, you can also follow the #WorldBalletDay.
This year with Covid restrictions affecting dancers and live performances around the world it is more important than ever to celebrate dance as an art form. A full itinerary of the day can be found on the Royal Opera House page.
Harlequin shop and ballet barre
To celebrate this exciting day of ballet Harlequin have launched a newly designed online shop and a new, improved Harlequin ballet barre for home practice. The new improved shop design offers customers a tailored entrance, B2B customers including dance studios, schools, universities and theatres will have access to a range of professional equipment and accessories for their performing arts spaces and B2C (private individuals) will be offered a specific set of products tailored for home practice.
The new Harlequin home range of ballet barres are available in two sizes, small (4ft) and medium (6ft). The barre comes in five easy to assemble parts that lock together with a simple key (provided) and they are being sold at a competitive price.
As current restrictions don’t appear to be loosening, dancers are finding themselves spending more time having to train at home. A Harlequin ballet barre offers dancers the opportunity to train on a professional standard barre from the comfort and safety of their home, rather than having to use a chair or breakfast bar.
