A brand new Guinness world record challenge for 2018 has been set. BBC’S Strictly Takes Two has launched this year’s Strictly Pro Challenge in which the Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show’s professional dancers must do as many Jive toe-heel swivels as they can in 30 seconds.
Winner for the past two years, pro-dancer Giovanni Pernice launched the challenge on the specially created Harlequin sprung dance floor set.
In 2016, Pernice achieved 55 Jive flicks and in 2017 completed 24 Charleston swivel steps in the 30 second time limit.
The Challenge being attempted over the next few weeks is judged by Karen Bruce, Ian Waite and Guinness adjudicator Sofia Greenacre who will select this year’s winner.
Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two weeknights 6:30pm BBC2.
