Bloomin’ Arts, a creative arts charitable organisation, continues to champion the voices and talents of disabled adults, providing a platform for artistic expression and performance.

Driven by a mission to ensure that everyone has access to creativity, Bloomin’ Arts in Lingfield offers a wide range of performing arts opportunities, including dance, drama and theatre.

Participants work alongside Bloomin’ Arts tutor artists to co-create original choreography and performance pieces. Most recently, they performed at the Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells as part of the 1001 Nights show.

A recent highlight of the organisation’s growth is its investment in a Harlequin Activity sprung floor with a Harlequin Fiesta performance surface to ensure the safety of the participants.

Bloomin’ Arts CEO, Hayley Bull, said: “Our dance and theatre companies now have a safe space to work and dance in. Some of our artists who use prosthetics or have physical access requirements have really noticed the difference, especially how much less tired they feel thanks to the feedback from the new floor. But above all, it’s about safety.”

As well as performing arts, Bloomin’ Arts also offer a range of visual art courses which include painting, sculpting and digital media.

Each year, 40% of the operating costs for Bloomin’ Arts charity must be raised through fundraising. If you’d like to find out more about Bloomin’ Arts and how you can work in partnership with them, head to their website, or if you want to support them with their fundraising efforts, you can make a donation here.

Disabled talent is everywhere; equal opportunities is not. Through accessible facilities and a strong commitment to empowering disabled adults, Bloomin’ Arts is demonstrating the impact of inclusive creative practice on individual and community development.
