National Ballet of Spain 40th anniversary

The Ballet Nacional de España celebrated its 40th anniversary with special performances at Madrid’s Teatro de la Zarzuela.

Director Antonio Najarro created a remarkable programme featuring the company’s emblematic repertoire and a world premiere of new work “Ícarro” created for principal dancer Sergio Bernal.

A Harlequin Liberty sprung dance floor is both on stage at the Zarzuela Theatre and in the studios.
