V&A unveils Alice in Wonderland exhibition on Harlequin Hi-Shine
24th May 2021
The V&A Museum in London is hosting an exhibition dedicated to the iconic story of Alice in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll.
‘Alice: Curiouser and Curiouser’ will provide visitors with the chance to delve into the origins, adaptations and reinventions of Alice in Wonderland over 158 years, charting the book’s evolution from manuscript to a global phenomenon through 300 objects. The aim of the exhibition is to transport visitors in to otherworldly experiences through the use of theatre sets, immersive environments and displays. It will also include the museum’s first virtual reality experience. The director of ‘Alice: Curiouser And Curiouser’ described the exhibition as one of the museum’s “most ambitious” exhibitions.
The exhibition features Harlequin Hi-Shine black, a favourite choice for displays and exhibitions.
The exhibition is happening in collaboration with The Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Melbourne, which held an acclaimed exhibition called Wonderland in 2018.
