CAST's New Studios with Harlequin Floors

CAST. (Cowell Academy of Stage and Television) celebrate the opening of their renovated studios with Harlequin sprung and vinyl floors.

Based in Morpeth, Northumberland, Sarah Cowell, CAST. Principal, opened her new performing arts school in 2019. Ever since training at Italia Conti and performing in and around London, she knew that she wanted her own dance school to include mirrors, ballet barres and flooring supplied and installed by Harlequin.

CAST. train students aged 18 months to 18 years in all aspects of performing arts including tap, ballet, musical theatre and more. CAST. perform at local events such as Northumberland Pride and in June this year they represented Northumberland at The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacons.

In one studio, CAST. has the Harlequin Flexity sprung floor with Harlequin Fiesta vinyl performance floor, and in another studio they have the Harlequin Flexity sprung floor with Harlequin Engineered Oak top surface.

Their ethos has always been to make sure tuition is fun, allowing their students to explore creativity and build confidence whilst learning the fundamentals of performing arts.

Harlequin installed their new sprung, vinyl and wooden floors earlier this year, including the newly designed Harlequin Fiesta oak vinyl floor.

For the next academic year, CAST. will start to offer adult tap and ballet fitness classes as well as an adult choir group.

Sarah organises varied performance opportunities for her students as she believes her students based in the North East should have access to the same theatrical education and experiences as children who live in London.

They have many exciting opportunities coming up, including a trip to Pineapple Dance Studio in London as well as performing at Disneyland Paris! Their end of year performance of Nativity! The Musical will take place at The Playhouse in Whitley Bay.
