Does the Harlequin Practice Dance Mat need to be taped down?

You do not have to tape the mat down, but you can use Harlequin double sided tape for additional security on carpet or Harlequin High Performance tape on a hard surface.

Can I tap dance on the Harlequin Dance Practice Mat?

Yes.  For best acoustic results place the mat on a hard tiled or wooden surface. Tap dancing in shoes with loose screws will damage any floor, inspect tap shoes carefully before use.

Can I do pointe work on the Harlequin Dance Practice Mat?

Yes you can. The Cascade surface is slip resistant, suitable for pointe work.  For the best support for your ankles whilst doing pointe work it is advisable to place the mat on top of a hard tiles or wooden surface.  Also remember that the floor won’t be sprung.

Can the Ballet Barre feet extend?

No, the feet are not extendable but the height of the feet can be adjusted to a maximum of 2.5cm.
