What tape do I use to install Harlequin Hi-Shine vinyl?
Harlequin Double-Sided Tape is recommended when taping the underside of the floor to a sub-floor. The high-tack/low-tack tape is a safe and secure option for working with temporary applications. Carefully remove tape by gently pulling up and working parallel to the floor. Top-taping of Hi-Shine is not recommended because removal of the tape could damage the surface of the floor.
How do I store my roll of Harlequin Hi-Shine?
When storing, always keep your floor firmly wound onto the cardboard core from the original packaging. This helps to prevent the floor from being flattened or dented and makes handling easier. If the original cardboard cores are no longer available use a PVC pipe with a minimum diameter of 8cm. Roll the floor as tightly as possible before storage.
Never wind up the rolls without a core inside and never store them horizontally on top of each other with no core to support them as this will cause them to flatten resulting in stubborn or permanent ripples. If you do have to store the rolls flat make sure that they are not stacked more than two rolls high and do not lay heavy objects on top.
Ensure that any furniture placed on the floor has feet that will not damage the floor; take caution when moving heavy objects such as stage equipment.
How should I clean my Harlequin Hi-Shine vinyl?
Sweep daily to remove dirt, dust & debris. Any marks on the floor can be removed with a diluted solution of Harlequin Vinyl Daily Cleaner in the ratio of 1:200 (5ml of Harlequin Vinyl Daily Cleaner in 1 litre of water). Detailed cleaning instructions available here.
How much does a roll of Harlequin Hi-Shine cost?
Prices vary from £353.25 – £1059.75 + VAT, depending on roll length and colour. Standard roll lengths apply.
How long will it last?
The expected longevity of the vinyl is dependent upon the use and the care and maintenance. Harlequin Hi-Shine has been used on many professional tours and productions.
Can I permanently install Hi-Shine?
It is not recommended as a permanent flooring. If you want to glue the Hi-Shine we would recommend using a F-Balls, F46 a pressure sensitive adhesive to do a full stick. You would use a 1.5mm notch trowel and then roller the adhesive, let the adhesive turn from clear to opaque like you would normally, then lay the vinyl. This will eliminate any foot prints showing in the adhesive. You do have to be very careful, If the floor is walked before adhesive is properly cured you could get foot prints show through it as well as any tiny lumps and bumps.
Can I wear Stilettos on Harlequin Hi-Shine?
Stiletto heels should be avoided if they have very sharp edges.
