Dancers are used to training in fully equipped studios where flooring, mirrors, barres and music have all been carefully considered. Since the Covid-19 lockdown dancers around the world have suddenly had to adjust to undertaking their daily dance training within a space in their own home.
The need to maintain similar levels of safety when dancing from home is paramount. The most important piece of equipment for any dancer is the floor they train on. Harlequin has a solution to what we hope will be a temporary arrangement for all dancers, the Harlequin Home Studio range.
Harlequin Small Freestanding Ballet Barre
Harlequin supplies a range of ballet barres; they are almost a prerequisite for any dancer. Without a comfortable and sturdy barre it is hard to do the essential warm-up and stretching exercises.
Both amateurs and professionals can minimise the risk of injury by stretching properly to increase blood-flow to the muscles and improve flexibility whilst achieving an elegant stance.
- The Harlequin Freestanding Ballet Barres are available in small medium and large
- They have adjustable feet for stability on an uneven floor
- They can be set-up in various configurations using extra components i.e. continuous line, L shape etc.

Harlequin Tap & Turn Board - Tap Dancing Board
The Harlequin Tap & Turn Board was designed for percussive dancers. It provides exceptional sound, is solid underfoot and is the perfect size to practise those variations at home.
The Harlequin Tap & Turn Board is a 915mm x 800mm panel of 18mm exterior grade birch plywood which is plain varnished on one side and topped on the other with Harlequin Reversible performance vinyl, giving a choice of surfaces to practise on.
The Harlequin Tap & Turn Board can be used to protect existing flooring or for practice in a carpeted room. It also comes with a convenient handle for transport.
